Cocoa
The heart of the farm — and the raw material behind Makaya Chocolates.
RN 9593556 · Onipe & CRIN, Ibadan · Cultivating since 2022
Makaya Agric Farms is the estate made literal — cultivated ground that gives the whole family its name. Over a thousand cash-crop trees, bee-hives, and produce grown clean: zero additives, zero chemicals, 100% organic. Working the land since 2022, formalised as a registered business in 2026.
Every other company borrows the metaphor. This one is the metaphor — real soil, real trees, and a real harvest every November.
What Grows
The heart of the farm — and the raw material behind Makaya Chocolates.
Premium Hass avocado trees, grown for fruit quality and yield.
Cashew under cultivation across the estate's two sites.
Palm kernel trees adding to the tree-crop base.
Peppers, sesame seeds and soya beans grown alongside the tree crops.
Bee-hives across the farm — the source of Makaya Pure honey.
The Harvest
Since 2022 the farm has marked the season with a Harvest — held, by tradition, on the second Saturday of November. Four have been gathered so far. The next falls on 14 November 2026.
One each November since 2022 — family, partners and friends of the estate on the land together.
Always the second Saturday of November, when the season’s tree and field crops are brought in.
From the Farm
What the land yields, finished and named — grown and made clean, with nothing added that the soil did not give.
Raw honey from the estate's own hives — pure, as the name says. Nothing added, nothing taken away.
Made from the farm's own cocoa. Zero additives. Zero chemicals. 100% organic. Chocolate the way the tree intended.
The Land
Honey, chocolate, tree crops and field crops — for offtake, partnership, or supply.
